Honoring those who have served our country

Today was spent placing flowers at the cemetery. It is incredible that we have this opportunity
to say THANK YOU for the sacrifices that have been made! The loss to all families who have
lost someone is unimaginable! Please remember the brave people who have served!!!!!!!!!!!!

No art, but lots of reflection.

Lisa's Bits of Art

Day 1 of my new Blog!  Kind of exciting.

I am an aspiring artist who won an art studio in 1995 and have been learning about art ever since.  I love working with textures in my paintings and oils are my paint of choice.  There is something incredible about the feel of mixing oil colors and the fluidity of applying them to the canvas.  I have begun working with various clays and am trying to learn sculpting.  I love making stained glass windows and have been at that since 1988.  I have become enchanted by some of the OOAK (one of a kind) artists on eBay.  I have been working with Pro sculpt recently and starting to learn how to correctly layer Genesis Heat Set paints.  As you can tell, I love variety!

I retired early from the Missouri Dept. of Corrections where I was a Probation and Parole Officer.  I now can devote time to my hobbies and I am loving it.  I would love to hear from fellow artists.

I am married to my wonderful husband of 34 years, Eugene. We are almost empty nesters.

I am going to upload some photos soon of pieces that I am working on and will be sharing my knowledge with all whom are interested.
